Supporting emerging artists to create brand new work to be performed in pubs.

 About the Project

DRUNKEN NIGHTS was a series of free live events for pubs and bars. The project provided emerging and early career artists with support and opportunities to create site-based performances for pubs.

Each year we accepted proposals from artists around the UK to show 10 minutes of performance created specifically for pubs, and in the early stages of development. From an open call we selected up to around 20 of these ideas and showcased them in a series of live events.

From these events we selected three of the most promising shows receive support to develop the work (a small budget, professional mentoring, free rehearsal space and advice and support from Drunken Chorus). These artists / companies then performed and toured their work as part of a triple-bill in pubs around the country.
