DRUNKEN NIGHTS III

After an initial two events, 3 artists / companies were chosen to receive development support, with residencies at Rich Mix in Bethnal Green and Live at LICA in Lancaster. They also receive a small budget, production support from Drunken Chorus and mentoring sessions with established artists, Louise Mari (a founding member of Shunt), Jon Haynes (founder and joint director of Ridiculusmus) and Andy Smith (a solo performer and regular collaborator with Tim Crouch – most recently on Adler & Gibb at the Royal Court). Their work was shown as a triple-bill at The George Tavern and the Wagon & Horses in March.

The selected artists took inspiration from the traditions of the great British pub; standup comedy and karaoke, pub quizzes, live music and dance floor shenanigans.
